English Study Camps by Wimbledon School of English offers summer programmes for young learners across three UK locations: Wimbledon in London, Lord Wandsworth College in Hampshire and Epsom College London.
Students can combine classroom learning with football, tennis, excursions, activities and cultural experiences—creating an international summer programme that goes far beyond traditional English lessons.
Whether your priority is improving your English, developing your football or tennis skills, or experiencing life in the UK, explore a programme designed to help young people learn, grow and build confidence.
More Than an English Course
English Study Camps are designed to help young people strengthen their language skills while developing confidence, communication, creativity and independence.
The programmes incorporate the five “Cs” of 21st-century learning—Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity and Confidence—alongside excursions, activities and opportunities to use English in real-life situations. The 2027 programme is offered across Wimbledon, Lord Wandsworth College and Epsom College.
Students can choose from academic and project-based subjects while taking part in an international summer experience with students from around the world.
English Language Development
Build accuracy, fluency and confidence through interactive lessons, teamwork, projects and communication in an international environment.
Sports & Personal Development
Take part in football, tennis and other sporting activities, with specialist academy and coaching options for students who want sport to play a major part in their summer.
International Experience
Meet students from different countries, practise English naturally and experience everyday life in the UK.
Excursions & Cultural Discovery
Explore London and other UK destinations through organised excursions, sightseeing, activities and entertainment.
Football Development Meets International Education
Designed for players aged 11–17, the Football Academy combines structured football development with the experience of living and learning in an international UK summer environment.
The programme takes place at Lord Wandsworth College and combines football training, a Plus Course, excursions and opportunities for players to experience football beyond their usual club or school environment.
The 2027 Football Academy Experience
The 2027 programme runs at Lord Wandsworth College from 11 July to 7 August 2027, with bookings available for 1–4 weeks.
The published 2027 programme includes:
- 16.5 hours of football training per week across four training days
- Football training kit
- A match against a local football team
- A football-focused excursion
- Sightseeing and cultural excursions
- Full-board accommodation for residential participants
Students who are not taking the full Football Academy can also explore the Football Skills Plus Course at Lord Wandsworth College.
The course focuses on practical football skills including passing, receiving, shooting, dribbling, heading, touch, ball control, movement and teamwork.
